What Resources Are Available For An Abused Child? What Can Other People Do To Help?

I have found that there are many resources available for abused chidren and there are many things that can be done to help them. The child could tall someone that this is going on or maybe a friend or family member could have noticed some signs. Either way someone can talk to the parent(s) about the abuse. The person should call the police or Child Protective Services (CPS) if the abuse is severe or doesnt stop after talking to the parent(s). Also there is a program called Childhelp, Childhelp is a national organization that provides crisis assistance with other counseling and referral services. They have a 24 hour hotline where you can call to repor abuse or you can call if you need to talk to someone. All calls are anonymous.

Although there are things to help those that are abused some kids are afraid to admit that they are abused. I think that the resources that you've found are some great ways to help kids in need, but I also believe we have to work at letting the kids know that these places are safe for them to go to when they need help. Also the anonymous hot line was a great idea for kids in need.

im kind of doing the same subject i have also found hotlines and stuff but it is hard because some kids are afraid what will happen if the abuser finds out or they can be being brain washed ect...so i found this to be hard because you cant just say one thing!

I agree with you because even though it souldn't go on it does and there is alot of option to look into for children being abuse and thats why it should be taught in school just in case it's the parent who is doing it to their child.
